Renee is espy’s in-house Master Tailor AKA your hero if you need alterations done on your clothes by a certain date.

Pre-espy She pursued a Fine Arts degree at the University of Manitoba to follow her heart and become a sculptor. After receiving her degree in Fine Arts, she went after a diploma in something she was always naturally good at – clothing and textiles. This led her down the path to apprentice with 2 Italian Master Tailors. She learned from the best to become the best.

With over 35 years in the fashion industry, Renee has been Master Tailor for many places such as Holt Renfrew, Nordstrom and now she’s on the espy team. However, you don’t have to be afraid to ask Renee for a second opinion on your outfit, she worked as a fashion stylist for a while too (though she prefers to work behind the scenes.)

When Renee’s not chin-deep in fabric, you can find her painting abstract art with a glass of wine in hand, outside gardening or babysitting her favourite person in the world, her niece. Being fairly new to Calgary one of Renee’s favourite activities to do is go on drives and make an adventure out of finding new places… as long as she doesn’t get lost. Renee is one-of-a-kind and will definitely catch you off guard with her unpredictable jokes. If you bring her a coffee she may even move your alterations to the top of her to-do list…
